About Me 14 Nov 2016

I am a mother of three children and have been married since 1984.

I hold a degree in Chemistry from UMIST (Manchester) and worked in the banking and insurance sectors before re-training as a counsellor, something that I had wanted to do for many years.

I am a fully qualified counsellor having completed four years of training in person-centred counselling, and have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I receive regular supervision for my counselling to ensure safe and professional practice. I also have professional protection and public liability insurance.

In addition to my private counselling work, I also developed and ran support groups for people suffering with OCD and their carers from 2009 to 2019

I am continually working to develop my practice and have completed a CBT training short course to enhance my counselling skills.
